Bridgestone Potenza Tire Selected As OE For 2003 Subaru Baja
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (September 27, 2002) – The Bridgestone Potenza RE92 tire has been selected as the OE tire for the new 2003 SubaruÒ BajaÔ. Bridgestone/Firestone North American Tire Company, LLC (BFNT) is supplying the tire in size P225/60R16 in an H-speed rating. The all-wheel drive Baja is the newest Subaru crossover vehicle, and is based on the Legacy/Outback platform. It arrived in U.S. showrooms in September 2002.
While the H-speed rated, all-season Bridgestone Potenza RE92 has been available for some time, this is the only application to feature raised white letters on the tire sidewall, a feature designed specifically for Subaru.
“This tire represents 24 months of joint development and engineering work between Bridgestone/Firestone and Subaru,” said Michael Martini, vice president, North American Consumer Original Equipment Sales, BFNT.
"Bridgestone/Firestone and Subaru have worked together on original equipment tire fitments for the past 10 years," Martini added.
Nashville-based Bridgestone/Firestone North American Tire, LLC is a subsidiary of Bridgestone/Firestone Americas Holding, Inc., whose parent company, Bridgestone Corporation, is the world’s largest tire and rubber company.
