Dan MacDonald Joins Bridgestone/Firestone

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (August 2, 2002) - Bridgestone/Firestone Americas Holding, Inc. (BFAH) today announced that Dan MacDonald, currently chief investigative reporter and backup news anchor for WKRN-TV, the ABC affiliate in Nashville, will be joining the company’s Public Affairs Department as Director, Media Relations effective August 5, 2002. MacDonald will serve as the Tennessee-based company’s primary spokesperson.

Speaking of MacDonald, Christine Karbowiak, BFAH Vice President, Public Affairs said, “Dan brings a wealth of practical experience to the media relations position. His ability to thoroughly understand issues and then clearly and concisely communicate messages will be a great asset to our team. We’re very pleased to have him on board.”

MacDonald has been a prominent fixture on the Nashville media scene for many years. Prior to his work at WKRN-TV, he served as general assignment reporter and weekend anchor at WTVF, the CBS affiliate. He has also served as an Assistant Professor at Middle Tennessee State University’s School of Communications.
